Patricia Urquiola exploits the fineness of Laufen’s SaphirKeramik. Accentuated geometry and sensual textures. The basin and freestanding bath feature an ultra-thin gently rippled exterior that mimics the way sound waves travel through water. This optional feature complements the traditional smooth surfaces in the collection, which has expressive, yet minimalist formal language.
“I not only wanted to work with the lightness of the ceramics, I also wanted to find a way to design its surface.” said Urquiola. “I liked the idea of using the little waves generated by sound.”
