Choose a mixer shower that connects to the hot and cold water supplies and then mixes the water inside the shower to your selected temperature. Mixer showers normally deliver a higher flow rate than electric showers and are often thermostatic to protect against scalding. You can also add a pump if required to boost the flow from a gravity fed system.
Alternatively, electric showers connect to the cold water main supply. A heating element inside the unit heats up the water as it passes through. It doesn’t rely on stored water and provides instant hot water on demand.
